Has anyone heard of the 3D program blender? Tiny told me you can download it for free at blender3d.org. I just wanted know if has tried it and is it well known out in the 3D buisness.

They're out of business.
They had a really interesting business model of giving away their software and then charging a bundle for their documentation. Needless to say it didn't last. For a while there was a campaign to try and rescue the source code - not sure what happened there.
In any case, it seemed to be an alright application back when I used it last. But obviously there are applications that I prefer. But; as always, it's about the content created - not the tool you create it with.

thanks just the man i wanted to hear from about this. I knew u would know something about this program which i thought was weird just giving it away for free.

Yep, out of business. The "Blender Foundation" did take over though and everything is still available: http://www.blender3d.org/
There's a news site dedicated to it as well: http://www.blender.org/
Version 1 was pretty bad... Horrible interface, and I wasn't about to pay for the docs to learn the weird way in which to operate their program. I've never tried the "new 2", but I've heard from a couple friends that it is much better than 1.
I'd think of it this way: You get what you pay for.
