Gotta pull some animations off of student submitted DVDs for the ANI. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good DVD ripper that will output high quality .mov or .avi files (.mov is preferable).

This works well on the Mac:

Use 0SEx to rip the title and chapter that you want. Just select "Elem. Streams" from the "FMT" button. Then pick the Title and Chapter you want, and click on "Begin." That will spit out MPEG2 and AC3 files. Use mAC3dec to conver the AC3 to AIFF (or WAV).

Hope that helps.

good thing you guys have the forums to talk to each other, with your offices being so far apart and all......:)
